Wow! We had so much fun with Kyle and Amy on Tuesday! The property that we photographed on and the incredible sunset were all beautiful!
Kyle and Amy were totally into each other, and once again it really came through in the pictures!
Thanks so much for a great time, and here's a sneak peak at the images to come!

Tiffany and Chris
Congratulations to Chris and Tiffany on their engagement! We photographed on a beautiful evening in Cleveland, TN, and afterwards went to dinner at a great restaraunt called "The Bald-Headed Bistro."
It's always great when I get to spend extra time with our clients, getting a chance to get to know them a little better!

Congrats to Matt Dunmore!
Our super cool friend, Matt Dunmore has a huge display of his work downtown at Greyfriars, and I am so excited about it! He is an incredibly talented artist, and wonderful person, and everyone in town needs to meet him!
So take a minute and swing by Greyfriars on Sunday night between 6:30 and 9:00 to meet the incredible Matt Dunmore, and view some of his beautiful art!

Luke Walker
A big shout out to Luke Walker for having me up at his place in Ithaca, NY over the long weekend! We had an incredible time hangin' out, talking about life, business, eating Japanese food, creating images...
Luke is an incredible example of how your outlook on life effects the quality of your life! Luke's typical response to something negative happening whether it was someone cutting him off while driving or a product reaching his studio late was "That's awesome!" or something comparable. Some might consider this approach to life idealistic and unrealistic. I would say that if more people realized as Luke does that your attitude effects how enjoyable your life can truly be, the world would be a better place!
Thanks, Luke, for the lesson, and for a great weekend!

A Spotlight on Humanity
Luke and I got to Frank's wedding yesterday just as the ceremony was starting. There were already three other photographers covering the day, so Luke and I had the freedom to do what we wanted. I noticed as I was moving around the room that varioud people were being spot-lit by can lights in the ceiling. I took advantage of the opportunity to photograph a part of the ceremony that I wouldn't have had as a primary shooter.
I love how the light allows you to focus in on these individuals, realizing the importance of people in this couple's life, wondering what might be going through their minds at those moments in the ceremony...

Wedding with Frank...
As I mentioned in my last post, Luke and I went to Syracuse yesterday to shoot with Frank Dimeo - a beautiful Indian ceremony and reception. The Indian culture is so amazing!!! The colors, the emotion, the heritage, the customs... wow!!!
Beautiful henna...
The matriarch of the family and one of my favorite subjects of the day...
The reception hall was beautiful! A detail shot...
I love the light in this image!!!
I think this image really sums up the reception atmosphere! The bride and groom on the dance floor...
The roudy bunch of the evening! (From the top left) Brady Dillsworth, Luke Walker,me, New York photographer "Shy," and Frank Dimeo. Thanks to Frank for letting me come hang out with him at the wedding!

Hangin' out with Frank!!!
Continuing the trip to NY... Got to go and hang out at one of Frank Dimeo's weddings today in Syracuse! Frank is one of the most passionate people you will ever meet, especially about his family! He's amazing!
Below is a fun series from the day, with more to come soon!

Wedding in Skaneateles...
Skaneateles?!?!?!?! What's that? A beautiful town in upstate New York, and the location for Luke Walker's wedding today... and I got to go along!
Mike and Emily were so into each other, and they seemed to photograph best when just left to themselves! Look at the natural emotion when they saw each other and before the "official" pictures even started!
Then the "official" pictures started, and the emotion continued to come out...
Again, emotion, this time with the entrance of the bride into the ceremony, escorted by her brother. It was such an emotional time, as the bride's father just recently passed away...
From the boy's perspective...
A couple more shots of the bride and groom after the ceremony!
A couple of fun shots as the reception was starting...
The groom's father was an incredibly, kind, genuine person - so great to be around! Here is a really fun shot of him interacting with a guest...

Hangin' out in NY!!!!
This weekend I've had the opportunity to come up and hang out with Luke Walker for some guy time and to shoot a wedding! We've had a blast eating Japanese food, New York style pizza (enough calories for about three days), and just talking and laughing a lot! It's been a blast!
Tonight we went and shot the rehearsal dinner for Luke's clients who are getting married tomorrow, and at the end of the night we had the chance to photograph the couple on the street for a little while! Mike and Emily are totally into each other - it's so great!

For photographers...
During our presentation at the Pictage conference, we got to present a project that we have been working on for a little while now: Photographer's Office!
Photographer's Office is going to be an online destination for photographers that will help them better manage their office! The first application, the Checklist, is based on a need that Amber and I had in running our business. The application will assist photographers in managing the lists of items that they have to provide to their clients as part of the packages or products they have sold. This application will be great as it will not only provide an auto-populating checklist for each of your clients, but will also assist in communication with the client as to the status of the products they are expecting.
In addition to the online applications (Checklist should be released within the next few weeks, and there will be more coming!), we will also be offering consulting services for photographers who need a fresh start in setting up a more professional and efficient office in their home. These consultations will be available over the phone, online, and in person. More information will be available when Checklist is released.
If you have ideas for further applications that would assist you in better managing your office, please let us know! We don't want to create just another piece of software that you have to own with Photographer's Office. Ideally, the online applications will allow you to consolidate the software you are currently using as a result of the features on Photographer's Office, and you will simply be able to go to Photographer's Office to manage a large portion of your office needs.
So PHOTOGRAPHERS, make sure you go to www.photographersoffice.com to sign up to be notified when the first application is available!
More pictures from the Pictage conference!!!
Wanted to share a few more images from the seminar that we did in LA with Pictage!
Thanks to Lauren Cohn-Frankel for the speaking images and Matt Dunmore for the Voss water image (we gave out Voss water as part of our presentation to all the photographers who attended).
